That's over $161 million for the 4 and a half hour sporting event. For those visual learners - $161,000,000 looks more impressive. But was it worth it? Who were the advertisers trying to get their message to? Did it work? Only time will tell but many people tune into the Super Bowl just to watch the commercials.
Which Super Bowl Commercial was the Best? (10 Point Classwork Assignment)
Your task is to view and select ONE Super Bowl ad from http://www.hulu.com/superbowl, embed it into a new wiki page that you will create, tag the page as "super bowl" and then write a BCR of why this ad was the best. Your response must be between 50 - 100 words and have the following information.
What is the product being advertised?
For What group of people is the product intended?
What is the advertisement claiming that their product can do/help/improve in the life of the intended audience? In other words, what is the message the advertiser wants you to get after seeing the commercial?
Explain how this advertisement used effective visuals or dialog to get the message to the consumer. NOTE: This is where you will say WHY this ad was the BEST ad on the Super Bowl. You must mention more than one thing you SAW or HEARD in the commercial as EVIDENCE to support your claim that this is best Super Bow ad.
How to Embed a Video in a WIKI
Wikispaces has lots of help items in the "HELP" menu. This is the link to learn how to embed video. You need to fist watch the Super Bowl commercial you are selecting as the best then do the following.
Click on EMBED after the commercial plays.
Click COPY TO CLIPBOARD
Go to your new Wiki Page
Click the TV icon
Click VIDEO when the widgets window appears
Click OTHER at the bottom of the list of possible video sites.
PASTE the embed code into the box.
Click SAVE
At this point, you should SAVE your wiki page so that you don't lose the video accidentally. Then start editing it and write up your reasons why you think that Super Bowl Ad is the best using the guidelines above.
When you are finished, enter in the optional tags box at the bottom of the wiki page the following tag: Super Bowl. I will use this to help organize our wiki.
